The Genesee Valley Club in an exquisite private club located in the heart of Rochester, NY, and the weddings it hosts can only be described as magical.

History

Established in 1885, the Club is an exclusive social club for “men and women of affability, good character, and reputation.” Genesee Valley Club occupies a stately mansion on East Ave, in the heart of the arts and cultural district of Rochester. With space for up to 240 people indoors, as well as smaller meeting rooms on the first and second floors, the Club can host weddings of almost any size.

Amenities & Getting Ready

The Genesee Valley Club provides a premium experience to everyone who enters its doors, and weddings hosted here are no different. All weddings come with extensive access to the facilities and staff:

The bride and her ladies have room to spread out upstairs in various meeting rooms, and the bride also has a special room all to herself with a full-length mirror and room for a few helpers to assist her into her dress.

The gentlemen can take advantage of the billiards room and the wood-paneled bar area to get ready and steady their nerves before the big day.

Indoor wedding ceremonies are typically held in the Main Lounge, and the wedding party enters via the grand staircase from the second floor. Cocktail hour occurs on the Front Club Terrace, while the wait staff put the finishing touches on the Main Dining Room.

And speaking of the dining room - it’s gorgeous! The wall coverings speak to the 100+ years of history that have unfolded here, and the high ceilings, crown moulding, and sparkling chandeliers all create an atmosphere of elegance that is unmatched by other Rochester wedding venues.
